Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?

What's the story behind your latest book?
Bring light and avenging human trafficking and violence against women and children, with a sassy character.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
The stories have been building inside me for year's and it was time for them to hit paper and I just love all those independent bookstores.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
I just started, this is a wonderful platform for writes to explore.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The writing, editing and research - is great, but the moment you bump into a fan of your work and they tell you about your character, that is a wow... Just to know you wrote something that others enjoy.
What do your fans mean to you?
Smiles... I can't say thank you enough to all the fans of Raven and her crew.
What are you working on next?
A alternate story about an American author.
Who are your favorite authors?
Hemingway, Grisham, King, Poe, Patterson, Folsom, Saylor - are just a few.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
To see what my guy's are going to get into today - it's always an adventure right...?
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Family, boating, kayaking, traveling, beach, food hunting - all of these are done with a pen and paper or napkin near by just in case.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
The joy of hunting.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
January 28th 1990 at 7:05 started The City Squirrel Goes County, followed by The Day My Red Wagon Turned Blue and The Bus Stop.
What is your writing process?
Up between 4 and 5am write until 7:00 get ready for work (I do have the ability to write all during the day)
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Yes, I was amazed by what came out of my imagination and was on paper.
How do you approach cover design?
I draw it out and write the description and send it to my Graphic Artist. I do all the art in the books myself. Once I get the cover copy back from the artist, I do my thing to it for the end result.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
A Time to Kill - This book is what opened up modern fiction for me and the knowlege of writing about something you wanted to make a statement about - Day of Confession - how the story due me in - Cat & Mouse - story, speed, and the general pace of the novel - A Murder On The Appian Way - I got lost in thinking Steven was actually there writing - The Hardy Boy's - did you think I would them...
