Interview with amyjanehunt
Describe your desk
What's a desk? I'm a laptop-in-bed girl all the way.
When did you first start writing?
As soon as I learned how (around age six). My first masterpiece was illustrated (also by me) and had something to do with animals and sunshine.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Making money doing what I love. Being my own boss. What could be better?
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The world and characters belong entirely to me, so anything is possible.
What do your fans mean to you?
Everything! My paycheck, my validation ... the whole reason I breathe. (hearts)
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Who says I get out of bed each day? As I think I mentioned previously, my desk is my lap. I guess if you want to get literal, hunger and needing to relieve myself.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
I do! The aforementioned meditation on animals and sunshine (age six).
How do you approach cover design?
GIMP, baby. GIMP and stock photos.
What do you read for pleasure?
Mostly spec fic. Currently showing Game of Thrones some love.
What are you working on next?
Smut, smut, and more smut! And a little epic urban fantasy series that I will end up publishing under a totally different name. Shhhhhhhh. ;)
