Interview with Andy Lawson

What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
To continue writing. Of course, priority is on my family. To love my wife and my children.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Playing with my kids? That's what I do best; going back to be their age is fun.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Usually I'd browse around for some that would catch my attentions.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Composition from school days? Sure!
What is your writing process?
Let's say brain dumping is the start. Usually not before my brain gets twisty.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Sadly, no.
What do you read for pleasure?
Self-improvement books.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
My phone.
Describe your desk
Mess.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Singapore, and yes, it did influence my writing. Writing in my country isn's something that many people do, and sometimes, it does get secretive at times. And when the relationship with writing goes underwrap - most of the time it is - there'll be no time for writing.
When did you first start writing?
Technically, two years back. Had been on the table for a while before I took it off.
