Interview with Arielle Dixon

When did you first start writing?
I began writing seriously when I was fourteen years old and have not stopped since.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I wanted to write erotica and romance without a lot of fuss.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in the Southern United States in the Appalachian Mountains. I am queer, so being raised in a religiously conservative area truly shaped my writing and how people find each other in my stories.
What is your writing process?
A short outline, a few cups of coffee, and about three hours of brainstorming generally get me in the groove to start something. From there, it's just trying to grab a few hours each day to work on my wordcount.
How do you approach cover design?
I am lucky to have some background in graphic design. I want something that's neat, clean, but still stands out.
What are you working on next?
I am always working on the latest M/M or F/F erotica/romance story that comes to mind.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
By chance, recommendation, or searching around for something in my favorite genres.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I use my iPhone; I have other readers, but this one I have with me all the time!
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My partner, my pets, and my love of good food.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I craft, knit, and cruise the internet.
