I first start writing stories during my childhood, between 10 and 11 years. But they were just my first experiments. Thanks to the experiences made during the previous years there has been a great improvement in my writing skills from different points of view.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy of writing for me? Well, everything that my mind "creates" can be stored on paper in form of story or a simple list. Moreover, while writing, I can identify myself with the character (or characters) expanding my mind into the world that is being built by the pen.
What are you working on next?
Actually I'm busy in drafting the second edition of VERSUS I "A New Era". But next I'm going to work on VERSUS II and other following episodes of the same series. Once that VERSUS is complete, I'll move to new novels.
Who are your favorite authors?
This is a "difficult" question, because I've plenty of favorite authors. But I can say some of them: - Sir Arthur Conan Doyle - Isaac Asimov - Keigo Higashino - J. K. Rowling - Alice Reeds
These are just a few of them. There are also others, but the list would be too long.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I spend my time making a list of new material for my novel, but I mostly play my favorite games, build my models or my websites. Actually I'm in a new city, so when it's possible, I go out and take a look around in order to adapt to my new life.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, I remember it! It was a science-fiction story that I started to write when I was between 10 and 11 years. I started writing the first chapters, but later I stopped working on it because it was similar to Star Wars, so I moved to another genre in order to try something else. It wasn't very successful, but it was just an "experiment".
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
My first story was Harry Potter and I really liked it! It led my fantasy grow and open my mind to my first genre: the Fantasy. Moreover, it open my mind to book reading, transforming me into a great book lover (that I still am).
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
As stated in my Biography on my Smashwords profile, I grew up in Taranto (Apulia, South Italy) and since my childhood I had the opportunity to meet new people and making new experiences. This led me to make new experiences in different fields: from books to music, from movies to drawings and so on. Thanks to the experiences made during the previous years there has been a great improvement of my writing skills from different points of view.
How do you approach cover design?
I cannot lie, I must be honest: I'm a disaster in using the right softwares for picture design. For this reason I use unusual softwares such as Microsoft Words and Microsoft PowerPoint. I find it much easier, but it still is very...unusual!
Describe your desk
I don't need to describe my desk with many different words. One word is enough for the description: mess! There is so much stuff on it, between books, computer, papers, and so on. My desk is a total mess, trust me.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
My passion and interest for novels and writing led me to begin writing stories during my childhood, between 10 and 11 years. But they were just my first experiments. Moreover, I discovered Smashwords thanks to the help of my friend (and classmate) Alice Reeds, writer (author of "Into the Unknown") and member of the Smashwords community.
