When did you first start writing?
I first began writing in 3rd grade. It was then that I wrote my first short-short play. It was 5 pages of scripted dialogue and the biggest accomplishment of my third grade year.
What's the story behind your latest book?
This latest work is based on the story of my son and a medical condition he has. I have been toying with the idea of telling his story from an 11-year-old point of view (the year after we obtained his diagnosis) but delayed completing it until this year. He is now 20yrs old.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
my love of story telling and books as a whole
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords is the most amazing tool for indie authors such as myself and has alotted me the ability to get my works out to the numerous online outlets for readers all over the internet.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy of writing for me is getting into the story. Nothing is more amazing than when you get so involved in the story that once out of it you feel like you just came from a physical location.
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans mean EVERYTHING to me. In writing any piece I am in constant consideration of whether my fans will be entertained by the story I am putting forward.
What are you working on next?
I am working on getting the second piece to The One series on here. It's titled 'The Uninvited Calm' as well as finishing my first memoir-based full-length novel.

John Grisham, Nicholas Sparks, Mitch Albom
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
my children
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When not writing i am continuously helping my children achieve their dreams and goals.
