Interview with Aura Redwood

What do you read for pleasure?
I usually read fantasy books.
Who is your favorite author?
Terry Pratchett
When did you first start writing?
I wrote as a child but I really got into writing when I turned 14. This was due to me and my friend getting into X-men evolution fanfiction. Writing fanfiction was what got me into wanting to really write well and write wonderful stories and characters.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up moving around a lot, meaning that as a child I lived in Australia, Holland and Singapore. I do feel this influenced not only me as a person but also my desire to include lots of different cultures into my writing.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Kobo Glo, because you can download lots of different types of files and the device is easy to read in night or day.
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans mean so much to me that I find it hard to even describe how much. The best way I can describe it is that I have such a large self doubt about myself and my worth that my fans are the ones that make me feel like I'm not just wasting my time while writing.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My partner, Spike.
What is your writing process?
-Think up story concept
-Research concept
-Create main character/ characters
-Plan out general story
-Plan out chapters
-Write chapters
