What do you read for pleasure?
I enjoy reading romance, thrillers and mysteries.
Describe your desk
This question made me snicker because I do have a desk but rarely sit at it. I prefer my rocking, recliner with a laptop.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The capability to go places and to express characters feelings as they face things in life that most people do.
What do your fans mean to you?
Fans and readers mean everything. The reasons I write is to create stories for others to enjoy. I want my readers to escape into my book, feel with and for my characters,
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
A chance to be with family and friends. A hot cup of coffee and catching a beautiful sunrise. I'm a morning person.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I love making furniture, doing a multitude of crafts, kayaking and up until we retired to a lake resort, my days were spent with horses.
How do you approach cover design?
Covers need to grab attention. I like to use a picture which represents a scene from the book. One that has a bit of mystery with it, that makes the observer wonder, how or why, it is happening. I prefer scenery rather then pictures with people because as a reader I like to imagine how the characters look on my own.
Who are your favorite authors?
I have many, but a few top ones are, Diana Gabaldon, Kelley Armstrong, Stephen King, Sandra Brown, Danielle Steel, Nora Roberts and Bev Pettersen.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I'm never without my IPAD because I can read on it or work on current projects. At times I also read on a Kobo or IPhone but I do appreciate holding a print book at times.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
My book, Signed Love, received interest from publishers but they require authors to do most of the promotion anyway so I decided to become a indie author.
