Interview with krystal white

Published 2015-05-10.
Who are your favorite authors?
It all depends on the genre. Right now I am reading mostly YA books and Tijan and Lola St Vil are among my favorites.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My children! I've got a 4 year old son and a 2 year old daughter who are my main reason for doing anything!
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
With my children, working, at home.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I look for new books in the categories I want to read at the time. Then I read through the free pages and see if it peeks my interest.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes! Only because it wasn't too long ago! The first complete story I wrote was A Mother's Sacrifice- which is book one of the Chloe St James chronicles. I wrote it on November 2014.
What is your writing process?
The vast majority of the times a character comes to mind and I quickly grab my laptop and begin writing. I don't sit down and write what the book will be about or what character will be in it and what they will do. I simply let the story guide me. I love writing that way because I have no idea what will happen along the way or how the story will end.
How do you approach cover design?
Once I've written the story and know what the characters look like and what the book is about, I search through the free images catalogs until I find one that draws me in for that particular story.
What do you read for pleasure?
Mostly YA, NA romance
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Kindle. I can read on my phone, iPad or laptop, but they are either too heavy, too small or too big. For me the kindle is perfect for reading!
Describe your desk
I don't have one! I write in my favorite living room couch with my laptop on my lap while the children play. I love it!
When did you first start writing?
On November 2014 and I really got into it on January 2015. The stories were pouring out of me and in four months I was able to write 7 novellas.
