Interview with Teresa Vanmeter

What is your writing process?
Dreams or ideas can come from any source, even the simple task of walking down the street.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
HG Wells, The time Machine. It was utterly fascinating how the mind could dream something so extraordinary, and that's how my imagination began to be challenged to create something so real, so memorable.
How do you approach cover design?
I like to express how the story makes me feel, and what is the key moment.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Hadagery of course, and all the Harry potters. I like to keep my mind constantly filled with wondrous stories.
What do you read for pleasure?
Fantasy, horror, romance, and manga's.
Describe your desk
My laptop computer.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was constantly being moved from place to place, so I've been exposed to a greater variety of people, and i think it shows in my characters.
When did you first start writing?
The creative process began as a child, with art becoming my first interest, but writing didn't come until my teens.
What's the story behind your latest book?
Its bits and pieces of dreams and wild imagination.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Each and every story I create is a part of me, and even after I'm gone that part will live on. Plus when i finish a story i can say yes that's exactly what i wanted to write.
