Interview with Basil E. Bacorn

What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The knowledge that I had to leave my characters in a life-threatening situation the last night.
Who are your favorite authors?
Jules Verne, Rebecca Stead
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
No, sadly, I don't. It was either about a man becoming stranded on a super dangerous island,a group of nine year olds traveling the globe to return a ghost to its pumpkin, or some "Scooby-Doo" fanfiction.
What is your writing process?
Write, write, write, THRIVE! And repeat.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Seeing my protagonist prevail... for now.
How do you approach cover design?
With open arms.
Describe your desk
A Disney Cars pillow, or a Penguin Pillowpet.
When did you first start writing?
First or second grade, i can't remember.
What are you working on next?
Many, many projects, I will be continuing my Dark's Descent Series, as well as a play, and my next non-Dark's Descent Series Novel will be decided by the results of the poll on my website at http://www.basilebacorn.com/polls .
What made you want to start writing?
Boredom. I wrote the first draft of Dark's Descent in a week and was instantly hooked.
