What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Since I publish my own work it is most effective.
Describe your desk
I really don't have a desk. I work on a laptop table that my step father built for me. A desk wouldnk't fit in my room.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I crew up in Columbus, Ohio. I don't know it influenced my writting. If any thing influenced my writting it was most likely the strong sense of public service my family exhibited. I come from several generations of fire fightetrs. Unfortunately I am not a fire fighter. My public service was a volujnteer for the American Red Cross Disaster Services. That influenced my writting more than anything.
When did you first start writing?
As sophmore in high school,
What's the story behind your latest book?
I don't know if there is a story behind my latest book. If there is a story it might been how would a young person deal with an evacuation?
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Mostly becaue I couldn't get published any other way!
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
My first book published in 2012 have had over 3,000 copiue downloaded. Which wouldn't have happened I don't think with any other service.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I don't know! I guess being able to share my work with others.
What do your fans mean to you?
Without fans, readers, there would be no reason to publish the next novel.
What are you working on next?
Good question. I have several things I am pondering. I am thinking about a sequel to, to forge a queen. I am also thinking about exploring one of the many substories of Every Last Mother's Chld. There are quite a few of them. I am also pondering of how the aliens in my story were infected by the aqaut. The deases(?) that makes the telepathic and empathic with their spouse and how it changed their people forever.
Hopefully none of this will take years to produce like my last two publications.
Who are your favorite authors?
Where to start... Rbert Heinlein, Andre Norton, Arthur C Clark, Dale Brown, David Weber, Richard Herman to name a few. I have been reading science fiction, military thrillers since I turned 14.Last Jajnuary, I turned 57. That's quie a bit of reading. And many favorite writers.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I don't know! Maybe just telling the MS an d the diabettes they aren't going to win today!
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Reading, playing hoyle games o he computer, taking photos.

Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes.A story about a space station. It wan' t very good.
What is your writing process?
I dont know if I have one. I get an idea just start writing! Eventually a story emerges!
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Wow! It might have been Robjert Heinleins Citizen ofd the Galaxy, or Andre Norton's Star Guard. It turned me onto reading!
What are your five favorite books, and why?
A forcew of eagles, by herman, it is a very good story about the modern air force.
The moon is a harsg mistress by heinlein. It is very fun read.
The still small voices of trunpets! I forget the writer. It talks about how to get people to embrace democracy.
Any of the honorverse stories by weber. their juqst fun to read
