Interview with B.W. Posey

What do you read for pleasure?
I love to read anything paranormal!
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Yes. I was ten years old and the book was called, Don't Hurt Laurie. It was about physical abuse and it made me cry. I never knew people could be so cruel, and I vowed then I would always protect those who could not protect themselves.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I love my Kindle
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a small town in Alabama where everybody knew your name and your family. That has helped me write stories about tight knit families and their conflicts.
When did you first start writing?
When I was sixteen years old.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
It is an outlet for me. No matter if I am happy, sad, etc...writing allows me to let go.
What are you working on next?
I am working on a contemporary adult series.
Who are your favorite authors?
R.K. Ryals, Erica Stevens, Trina M. Lee, and H.M. Ward
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My family!
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I have two very busy kids, so that speaks for itself.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Wow! Which ones to choose? I love The Captive Series by Erica Stevens and The Scribes of Medeisia Series by R.K. Ryals!
Paranormal and fantasy are two genres I am always drawn to.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I love to read paranormal and fantasy. I look for books that dive into those worlds, but also have a little romance mingled in with it.
