How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords has made publishing my book online super easy and efficient.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I have a journalism degree and have always loved to read and writing is an intersection of those for me. I enjoy providing value and insight to other readers, especially from my years of experience in PR and marketing.
What do your fans mean to you?
I think we all have fans of varying types. My fans are the people who value and appreciate my work in the realm of PR and marketing and as an active volunteer. I am grateful to anyone who takes the time to share kinds words with me.
What are you working on next?
I have a few eBook outlines going on topics ranging from recovery from addiction to how to go vegan.
Who are your favorite authors?
I love Stephenie Meyer (who lives in my area) and really enjoyed her Twilight series. It was so much fun to read! In PR and marketing I like Al and Laura Ries.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The anticipation of what the new day will bring.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I adore reading and usually have several books going at once on my nightstand. I also love to travel and scuba dive.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I use my Kindle to discover new ebooks and from reading book reviews.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, and involved a partial drawing the teacher handed out and we had to finish it as we saw fit and come up with a story around it. Mine involved aliens and their spacecraft.
What is your writing process?
I love to hand write notes and other things but use a computer frequently. Early morning is best for me.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I was addicted to Nancy Drew novels and ready every one I could get my hands on. I still love mysteries to this day.
