What motivated you to become an indie author?
Mig-21 fighter aircraft in the fleet of Indian Air Force frequently crashed and pilots were killed.
What specific issues have you raised in Designer of Fighter Aircraft?
Corruption. The presidents, prime ministers, ministers, government officials, chairmen of public sector companies and white collared criminals disguised as aircraft designers & scientists have been committing a series of crime and indulging in corruption at the highest level of governance in India after the disintegration of the Soviet Union.
When did you first start writing?
I began writing at the age of 22 years during the course of my first employment after becoming an engineer.
What has influenced your writing most?
I belong to a family of freedom fighters struggling with the British India for independence. National interest precedes every requirement.
What genre or subjects are your books?
I wish to write on technical subjects through an analyzing mind. I have been writing articles earlier. Designer of Fighter Aircraft is my first book.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I fantasize everyday that all the aircraft in the fleet of Indian Air Force have become fully serviceable in the real meaning of Flight Safety.
What's the story behind Designer of Fighter Aircraft?
Weird maintenance of Soviet-origin aircraft in the fleet of Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and Indian Civil Aviation resulting in accident and death.
What's your writing process?
I use my pen and the writing pad. After improving the draft normally 2 or 3 times, I type it into the computer.
How has Smashwords contributed to your writing?
I approached many publishers all over the world for the printed version of Designer of Fighter Aircraft, my first book without success. Finally, I became a Smashwords member on 30th July 2013, my birthday. If my e-book becomes successful, I shall pass on the credit of its success to Smashwords alone.

Brahma Chellaney, Ramachandra Guha and Amitav Ghosh.
