Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Never did grow up, but was raised in and around the Los Angeles area.
When did you first start writing?
1971
What's the story behind your latest book?
Biker to Sailor tells about how I went from being an outlaw biker and publisher of Biker Magazine, to a sailor, sailing all over the world for 37 years. The adventures are all true, but hard to believe!
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Actually I have several books published by publishing companies. Got tired of them making all the $$$
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Don't know yet, just signed on!
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Telling stories. Living them is fun, but telling them you get to re-live them over and over.
What do your fans mean to you?
Not sure I have fans. Just friends.
What are you working on next?
A story about one particular adventure that happened in the 70's in Sturgis, South Dakota.
Who are your favorite authors?
Wilber Smith, Clive Cussler (when he used to write his own books), and Hemingway
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My wife nagging me to get outta bed
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Working my butt of publishing Cruising Outpost Magazine
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Honestly, I don't read ebooks. I am old fashioned and like paper better.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, it was about a motorcycle event for Easyriders when they first started
What is your writing process?
Sit down. Start writing.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Isaac Azimov's I robot. I believed it!
How do you approach cover design?
By sending it to my art director
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Letters from the Lost soul, Brotherhood of Outlaws, Emerald Bay and King Harbor. Because I wrote them.
