Interview with B. S. Davies

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Being able to create situations, people and thrown in the occasional curve ball. Steven King once said the greatest inspiration for a writer is asking the question "What if?" and that has become my credo.
What is your writing process?
I have a plot in my head at first. Then I write the first and last chapter. Then just fill it with the things that matter to drive the story. If I don't know what's going to happen next, then hopefully, neither will the reader.
What are you working on next?
I used to be a photographic interpreter in the Royal Air Force and I was looking at some photo's from NASA of the Apollo missions, and a couple just screamed at me that they had been staged, and if that is so, could all of them be?
So I have a man who has definitive photographic proof that they didn't land on the moon on the run in fear of his life. Three hit men, two after him and one after them; and it's a comedy - of sorts...
Who are your favorite authors?
Douglas Adams, Spike Milligan, Lee Childs, Michael Connelly, Steven King, J R R Tolkien and George R R Martin to name a few
What do your fans mean to you?
They both enjoy my writing so I love them!
How do you approach cover design?
As a graphic designer I find it fairly easy; the background contains a reference to the general theme of the book, a bit of Photoshop jiggery-pokery with the title, and a snappy one liner from the novel. That's it!!
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I have a weak bladder
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
It was a series of joke letters I used to send to a friend. It eventually became ALFIE
What do you read for pleasure?
Anything and everything
Describe your desk
Sorry, can't read the question properly; there's too much stuff in the way!
