Interview with Kimberly Deas

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
My greatest joy of writing is sharing what I know. I am an avoid reader and truly believe that I learn more from other's mistakes instead of having to make all the mistakes. With so much experience as a business owner of a marketing company and now as a business broker, I enjoy sharing my experiences in hopes that others can avoid some of the mistakes that I have made.
What do your fans mean to you?
My greatest joy comes from hearing from the readers of my books and hearing them sharing how one tip in my book has helped them improve their business or even their personal life.
What are you working on next?
I am currently working on a series for business owners about how to add value to their business before they sell or transition out of the business.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Every day is unique and I learn new tips and tricks to running a small business. I also get to see mistakes that were make 5, 10, 15 years ago and how that has affected the business. These all create inspiration for my next book or chapter.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I am not writing, I enjoy meeting and consulting with small business owners about their challenges and designing strategies to overcome these challenges. I also love living by the ocean and taking walks on the ocean with my husband and daughter.
