What do you read for pleasure?
I am reading V. C. Andrews' 'Dollangangers' series. She is one of my favorite writers. I am also reading the Oz series.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Kindle Paperwhite
Describe your desk
I have a HP desktop with papers and CDs and DVDs in every cabinet. The desk itself has lots of papers with notes everywhere. Beside the desk is a printer with a laptop on top of the printer.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was born in Pennsylvania but grow up in different towns in Alabama. A lot of my writing take place in small towns.
When did you first start writing?
Around the age 13. I would turn my comic books into plays.
What's the story behind your latest book?
In small towns there are secreats that everybody knows about, but no one ever takes about except in whispers. I wanted to capture this under belly of small town life.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Wanted to get publish and indie authors seem to have more freedom with what they write about.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
They put my name out there.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Seeing my characters succeed.

A novella about a woman in a funeral home.

William S. Burroughs, V. C. Andrews, Charles Bukowski, Truman Capote,
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When does someone not write? If I am not writing I am thinking about writing.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
A short story about a Jewish woman who was dying and wanted to dance with her husband one last time.
What is your writing process?
I start off with an idea, work it through in my mind a lot, do a lot of other things like yard work, then write what I have work out in my mind and it becomes a completely different story then what i had in mind.
