My children are my motivation in everything I do.

I live on a horse farm so we usually ride horses or do farm work. I love being outdoors.

Recommendations. I love stumbling across blogger posts that give me an insight into a book from a reader's perspective. I follow quite a few blogs on Instagram and sometimes buy books based on a teaser or a blurb they share.

When I was in the sixth grade, my English teacher Mrs. Johnson set a project for us to create a book. We had to build it, binding it together and all. I wrote a book called Super Ant focusing on the strength of a mighty ant and that big things can come in small packages.

I usually have an idea hit me and I write a basic synopsis out first. Then I begin the outline process. From there I write a basic character description and then I actually write by hand for my first draft. When I go into typing I add layers and then with every read through and additional chapter I build more into what I began with.

The first romance I read was Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte in high school for a project. I fell in love with the way Ms. Bronte pushed the boundaries of her time. The more I studied both the book and the author the more intrigued I became. She was an empowering woman who wrote fearlessly.

Oh,​ covers are my greatest challenge. Typically, I have the story basically sorted and I reach out to my cover designer with the concept. From there, I let them work their magic and go from there. I'm not big on covers when I buy books so picking them out for my own work is a challenge.

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte - this book is my absolute favorite book to read over and over. To think back to the life Ms. Bronte led and still managed to push the boundaries to create such a magnificent read are inspiring. This book is everything to me.

Connected in Pain by Ryan Michele - it is so well done, the suspense and steam are woven together magically. While a new release, I find myself in a book hangover from reading it, making me want to read it again and again.

Crow's Row by Julie Hockley - this book was so intense, I waited years for the sequel - which did not disappoint.

Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan - no book has ever made me feel so helpless as I read it as this book. To this day, the power of it still gives me chills.

Fifty Shades of Grey by EL James - this book changed the Romance genre for so many authors including myself so I can't make a list of my five favorites without including this one.

Romance is my favorite, specifically romantic suspense. I love a thriller as well. I am a cliffhanger junkie so if a book has a cliffy that's even better for me.

I love iBooks and reading on my iPad.

Bookbub is probably the single greatest tool for any author. Blog tours are also successful as well as the features Smashwords does where they allow a Smashwords only sale using coupon codes issued to readers so it doesn't impact my price point on other sites.

My desk sits in front of a window because I love to look outside even when I can't be outside. The truth is I write many times on my front porch from a table and chair set I have there. My desk is large and black and has little blocks with sayings on them. My favorite one says, "you are my sunshine" which is my favorite saying.

I grew up in a small coastal town in North Carolina. I write about my hometown​ in all of my Hellions Ride series books. I love my little town and get homesick when we are away.

I've always journaled and written here and there. I didn't start writing to pursue​ it as a career until 2012 which later led to publishing my first book, Restore My Heart in 2013.

It is the next generation of the Hellions MC. The club is back and things are more intense than ever!

I was living in Louisiana at the time and I was homesick. I took a chance just to do something for myself that wasn't about my husband or my kids. Writing was my chance to be free from everything and dive into a world of my own creation.
