I am currently studying for my MA degree and I also plan on publishing a second book of poetry.
Who are your favorite authors?
I absolutely adore Agatha Christie and Clarissa Pinkola Estés.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Food. And my cats. And the fact that I have to prove God that he didn't give me the gift of life in vain.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Translating. I usually translate up to 2.000 words per day, even if it's my day off.
How do you approach cover design?
I usually go for the vintage style. I love it because it suits my needs and my poetry. I usually download the right photo (royalty free, but I still give the photographer a shoutout in my book) and I take care of the design using an online app.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in the countryside and I think this had the biggest impact on my writing. Women here have a beautifully wild nature and this taught me how to discover my inner writer and how to express myself without fear that anyone might judge me.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The fact that I can reread my work and get emotional. Some would say that they do it for their readers, but I do it for myself. Quite selfish, I know.
What do you read for pleasure?
Detective stories and historical novels.
Describe your desk
Neat and tidy. I cannot work unless everything is in order. There usually is a cup of coffee or tea and a small statue of the Colosseum.
When did you first start writing?
When I was almost 10.
