Interview with C. S. Warner
Published 2017-06-08.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Not really. I've been writing short stories ever since I was little.
What is your writing process?
I start with a list of random notes, those get arranged into an outline, and then I sit at the computer and type up a rough draft. I need background noise; so, more than likely, I will turn on an HGTV show that I have no problem not paying attention to.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
That would probably be my iPad mini.
Describe your desk
Covered in notes. I have my planner open with notes scribbled in, two journals, and several small scrap pieces of paper. It may appear unorganized, but I know where everything is.
When did you first start writing?
As soon as I learned to read and write I was always coming up with some type of stories.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords has given me the opportunity to upload my books into different formats for my readers.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Turning the sporadic ideas that float around in my head into a comprehensive story.
What do your fans mean to you?
Everything, of course. I want them to be satisfied every time they read one of my stories.
What are you working on next?
A mystery science fiction web serial.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Spending time with my husband, playing with my cat and dog, and probably binge watching horror movies on Netflix.
