Interview with Wayne Evermore

What do you read for pleasure?
Of course, mostly science fiction...and comics.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a small tightly knit community, and that comes out in my writing in that my main protagonist is usually in or coming from that type of environment.
When did you first start writing?
I've writing off and for years, as far back as grade school, mostly for my own enjoyment and friends and family. It's only lately that I began to look at it more seriously.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The story behind my book is basically my story. That is, a lot of his (Benjamin Bishop) experiences are similar to mine; the ups and downs he's gone through. That's not to say we're identical; he's his own way of doing things and his own perspective.
What are you working on next?
I'm working on the sequel to the first book. I feel it will be even better than the first; you'll really get a sense of the main characters and what makes them tick. I've already put in quite a bit of work on it.
