Interview with T. W. Monroe

Describe your desk
It is a small glass desk in the family room. Just big enough for my computer and my thoughts, it is the only place in the house that I belong.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Atlanta Ga. It had very little to do with my reading or writing. That came later when I was working long boring nights in security.
When did you first start writing?
It was late in life, I was about forty five and lived in Orlando Fl. It began, "the idea of writing" earlier than that, with reading, I had to have something to do on guard duty.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I am a retired Police officer and have always wanted to do my part in helping people that have been hurt or abused. I also have always wanted to own a bar. So the idea of a bar owner that fights injustice just felt right. Oh I also added in a bit of Fantasy and Magic.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Lazy I guess, it is easier and I do not have to go through the rejection process. Hopefully I will give someone a good read, it is all I really want.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
That is yet to be seen.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
When someone tells me that they liked my story. There is also the peace of mind that I get from the thought process and putting it on Paper.
What do your fans mean to you?
If I had any, they would mean the world to me.
What are you working on next?
Book two, The adventure continues.
Who are your favorite authors?
R. A. Salvatore, J. K. Rowling, Steven King and any of the authors of the Forgotten Realms.
