Interview with D. D. Syrdal
Published 2014-10-15.
Who are your favorite authors?
Jane Austen, Ray Bradbury, Glen Duncan, Edith Wharton
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I enjoy crocheting, reading, and Tarot cards.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I currently have a Kobo mini.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Massachusetts, a little ways north of Boston in an old farmhouse that people thought was haunted. Maybe because the Salem Witch Trials took place in my home state, I was drawn to witches and witchcraft and anything 'occult' at a very early age.
When did you first start writing?
Probably when I was eight or nine-years-old I turned one of the rooms in the attic into my 'study' and would go up there and try to write stories.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I find inspiration in music, and the book "Revenants Abroad" was inspired by a song.
What are you working on next?
The sequel to "Revenants Abroad", as yet untitled.
