Interview with Dillon Warren

Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I remember the first story I was able to actually read was where the Wild things are. This was a very simple text, but it gave a jumpstart to my imagination, and allowed me to enter other worlds through books.
How do you approach cover design?
It is a picture of My son and I. The program was not allowing me to upload most images. My son means everything so I put him on the photo.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Percy Jackson series
Harry Potter series
Of Mice and Men
The Bassett and The Hound

They speak for themselves
What do you read for pleasure?
Honestly Maga. Currently Attack on Titan
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Usually my HTC pavillion.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Currently I am giving part of my book away for anybody who wants to read it. Hopefully they like the small piece ive given them, and want to read it further.
Describe your desk
I write everywhere. On my tablet/laptop/ at home. I am always busy so it is hard to squeeze in the time to write. I do it when I can.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Largo, Fl. I have a few book ideas. The one on my page was inspired by the years I spent as a pharmacy tech delivering drugs to a retirement home, and the people I met during that time.
When did you first start writing?
I have always been told I have good Ideas. I am just running around 24/7 and never sleep. If I had more time, I would write often.
What's the story behind your latest book?
Its about 2 people who are seperated because of the affects of Alzheimer's disease . Margaret has forgotten her husband Walter. He has become angry and abusive to her because of it. They have been seperated, and he watches her every chance he gets because he cannot be with her. He feels he must make her remember, and must find a way to do so. Along the way there is love, heartbreak, action, suspense, and mystery. The ending is where it delivers. Hopefully that will be published soon enough.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I thought I had good ideas, and I didnt have time to go get another college degree. The tools are out here for anybody to write /publish now. So I do it for fun, and would love if it some day became a career.
