Who are your favorite authors?
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Whatever i am looking forward to achieve within the day makes me take the first step out of my bed. Every day holds its own share of surprises and encounters that i normally look forward to.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I am a keyboardist and i normally enjoy playing music. My piano and myself make some good friends.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
i have a Kindle application in my phone that i use to connect and download some ebooks whenever i finish reading the one that i had previously downloaded.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yea..i have written a number of short stories too..but the first one had the title "Masaibu ya Ndugu Ali"
What is your writing process?
1.Identifying a subject matter that i can write about.
2.Choosing a piece of work that will suit the subject needs e.g short stories, poems or novel.
3.Writing down the various themes that i see necessary to be included.
4.Creating suitable characters for various roles.
5.Identifying various styles of writing that i need to use.
6.putting down the plot of the story or book.
7.Taking a bold step to come up with the piece of work that i intend to write.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
yea...."Siku Njema " by ken Walibora.
How do you approach cover design?
The cover is the most important part which either attracts your readers or draws away their attention away. The cover should therefore be done carefully with a great deal of care.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Swahili novels make the best of my books since they address a number of issues such as styles, themes, characterization and African leadership and politics.
What do you read for pleasure?
Historical novels make my my best books pleasure
What is your e-reading device of choice?
i normally use my smart phone
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
An good introduction, book cover page and a good language.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Kenya, in Eldoret town where there is a natural environment with the surrounding areas being bushy...This has encouraged me to capture this environment in my wiring.
When did you first start writing?
In my 8th Grade in school
What's the story behind your latest book?
A passionate Swahili speaker who is willing and eager to see the language excel to higher levels.
