Interview with Dr.Troy Clark

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Writing is a tremendous outlet for me. It consumes most of my time in thought, study, and prayer, to actual writing. What an opportunity! - to add value into the lives of others through careful and thorough research articulated through well-written words. The greatest joy is doing the "dig work" of research that most people do not have time to do, so that we may all benefit from a greater understanding of truth, and feel hope!
What do your fans mean to you?
Reader feedback is invaluable to my authorship. I want to keep improving as an author. My fans help me continue to grow by providing both critical reveiw as well as positive encouragment. Both are appreciated. When an author is spending several months in research, writing his/her first book, a looming doubt is always present, "Who is going to read this? Who wants to read anything that I write?" Answer: People! If you have a desire to write something that you feel is significant, this means there is an end user out there who will benefit from your hard work. There is an unseen purpose within an author's desire to write. Every author gains fans, because people know you are attempting to invest in their betterment. Believe it! My fans are like a mirror, reflecting the quality of my authorship. We form a team and assist each other in becoming better and better people.
What are you working on next?
I am compiling a series of unbelievable - little-known - yet crucial political facts. Multiple volumes if this book series will connect the dots from where we are today back to political decisions made in the past. We must never forget how we got to where we are today in America. Governmental non-sense and heroism are both shaping our world today. This book will be the untold story of America's history. A "short list" of topics include: U.S. Presidents, 9/11, U.S. Courts, U.S. Defense (Military), National Debt, NSA, Gay Rights, Race Relations, Abortion, Free Trade, Immigration, U.S. Unemployment, EPA, FDA, IRS (Taxes), Global Warming, Drugs, U.S. Economy, Elections, and much more. Believe me, there is no shortage of material to write about. can notify you when I post new books. Go to Simply click on the big, orange "Follow" button under my picture. Stay tuned in!!
Who are your favorite authors?
Christ Jesus, Parker Palmer, Kevin Trudeau, Gary Chapman, Gail Riplinger, David Gibbs, Kent Hovind
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The prospect to become a better man in God's Plan.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I enjoy sharing time with my family, whether it is going out to eat, taking a trip to the mountains, or watching a movie. It is also a tremendous priviledge to deliver an inspirational speech for a variety of audiences: business professionals, church folks, rescue mission residents, treatment programs, even cruise goers, any people-helping organization.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?, Book Daily, Smashwords
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first story I ever wrote spans over a timeframe of 3,500 years - the complete history of the Holy Bible, beginning with Moses (1,500 BC) all the way into present day through epics of time, cultures, and events. Whew boy! This book represents over 20 years of careful and thoughtful research. To me, the story of the Bible is a most worthy adventure benefiting every person's eternity.
What is your writing process?
I MUST feel passionate about a topic to write on. This soul-felt passion is what endures and carries me through to a book's finish during times of doubt, confusion, and just plain ole rough days. It starts with a truth I want to explore, define, or clarify. This is the soul of a book. Next are chapter segments that forms a skeleton for the book's structure. Research data, fun facts, history, humor, illustrations, all become meat content on the skeletal bones of a book. Proofreaders and editing are "personal trainers" that shape up a book to peak fitness. Graphics and a classy book cover are cosmetic trappings that make a book more attractive on its outside. This is an arduous yet rewarding journey that takes high commitment, boundless mental energy, and a real desire to serve humanity in a positive way.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I recall a book in the school library as a 5th grader that had a purple hardback cover. We were assigned to read one book. I picked this book because of the purple cover. I can't remember the book title, but it was filled with stories of a boy who went on an adventure through the wilderness. He learned many things about how life works, discovered new ideas and activities, and returned home a better man. This book initially turned my hyperactive, playful micheviousness into a desire toward reading more books.
How do you approach cover design?
Cover design is finding a right balance between color, style, and graphics that match the theme of the book. I normally start with colors. Color ideas are inspired by colors schemes I may notice in certain advertisments, a person's wardrobe choice, TV graphics, or billboards. I try to include colors that not only blend well together, but also standout enough to catch my eye. Font styles need to emphasize the most important word, or words, in the book title and subtitle. I want the most important word(s) to be the largest in size.
