BILLY and NINA, twins by birth and the best of friends, spend the majority of their youthful days with their trusty overweight Newfoundland dog OSA in an enormous treehouse built around an old oak that dwarfs most normal size homes throughout the community. Coming from a splintered family, the twins continue to utilize this tree-fort as an outpost where they hope to spot their dad's return from who knows where after vanishing on this very spot years prior due to mysterious circumstances. Today, when not searching the horizons and allowing their imaginations to run wild, Billy and Nina spend much of their time with the local eccentric genius DR. WONKY, a professor who lives behind ornate iron gates along with his trusty butler ALFRED and housemaid BETSY in a large Victorian estate. Inside these beautiful grounds rest the professor's laboratory surrounded by an exotic landscape that is home to an array of bizarre creatures and mysteries which entertain the twins beyond their wildest dreams. Each visit is never without some sort of revelatory magic that opens doors to greater wonderment and occasional bewilderment.
