Interview with Dwain Pablacio

What do your fans mean to you?
My fans are the life of my books and stories. Without them, trying my best to write every single word possible and making it as close to perfection is nothing if none of my lovely readers will read it. I write for people to be able to read and enjoy anything I've written
What are you working on next?
I'm working on my story called "100 Letters Before Survival". It's like a zombie survival guide book but I made it look differently from any zombie guide books out there.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I'm not writing, I play volleyball, I play my mobile games (because I'm a teenager still?), I search up random stuff to fill in my curiosity, I listen to music and I dance.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first story I ever wrote was called "The Undead Island" but I never got to finish it. I'm trying to get back at it though.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first story I've ever read in my life that I remember besides from those child storybooks was "The Maze Runner" by James Dashner. I was still very young back then like a kid and I didn't understood some of the words so i couldn't really tell the impact on me but I loved the book so much until now.
What types of stories do you like to write about?
The type of stories I love to write about are about zombies, undead and anything related to that. I mostly write under the Horror genre.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The story behind the latest book I'm currently working on which is the "100 Letters Before Survival" is that since I am still in high school and I have a very busy schedule including my co-curricular activities, I decided to write something short but has long pages, like a guide book. So I decided to make a zombie survival guide book that's written a bit differently from any zombie survival guide books out there.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
The motivated I get is knowing those people out there online or in person, supporting me in anything I do even though I don't really out stand in them.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
I just recently figured out Smashwords and I'm still starting as an author in here.
Who is your favourite author?
My all time favourite author is the writer of The Maze Runner series, James Dashner
