Interview with Christopher Noto

What do your fans mean to you?
My fans are everything to me. They're the people that are going out of their way to help themselves by seeking the knowledge that they need to succeed, which I find very admirable!
What are you working on next?
I do have plans to explore other non-fiction genres, but I am absolutely going to write more books on the subject of health and fitness.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
My desire to help people with achieving their fitness goals above all else. I'm someone who truly struggled for years before I figured out how to develop natural consistency in the gym. I know the pain of not knowing how to keep going, which is why I strive to help those who also want to help themselves breakthrough that mental barrier.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My desire to succeed. I have many goals that I truly want to achieve.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I enjoy working out, obviously, but outside of fitness activities I also enjoy watching hockey, being with friends and family, bowling, and spending time at the beach.
How do you approach cover design?
I do not design my covers, but I do have a vision for them that I describe in detail to my graphic designer. While I could design a cover myself, I find it's best to focus on what I am best at instead and that's simply writing.
What do you read for pleasure?
I've always enjoyed "how to" books. I enjoy receiving real, applicable knowledge.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I use my convertible laptop for e-reading currently and it gets the job done very well.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Smashwords has been excellent for me. When I was accepted into their premium catalog my content was distributed to all other major retail platforms.
Describe your desk
My desk is usually anywhere but home! Not because I don't like being home, I just feel I can focus better in other environments. I do a lot of my writing in coffee shops.
