Interview with EJ Logan

When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When not writing, most of my time is spent with my two amazing boys. Though I do love to read, listen to music and design book covers. Now if it is the summertime, you will most likely find me on a boat at the lake.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I usually just search in my desired genre, but I am on a few mailing lists to read other books from authors I love.
What is your writing process?
hmmm... well, I really don't have one. I have a very active imagination and have been daydreaming for as long as I can remember. I usually just come up with an idea and go with it. I do have to have my music while writing though.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I really don't know. I have read hundreds if not thousands of books in my life. I guess my earliest memory was Green Eggs and Ham when I was in kindergarten. We even made the meal to go with it. The impact it had, I really couldn't tell ya but it is a really great memory.
How do you approach cover design?
I love cover design!!! I am a professional cover designer. My company Cover Me Book Designs is a place I can find another escape just like my writing and I absolutely love it.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Only five? Okay well I will start with the first book I read as an adult, I had stopped reading for fun in high school and then my Uncle and Aunt gave me One For The Money by Janet Evanovich and I fell in love and have read all of her books since then. My next two are trilogies cause I can't choose just one The Hunger Games, and Divergent, just love them. The last two are a couple of the books that made me really want to start writing, Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire and Taking Chances by Molly McAdams. I loved them both.
What do you read for pleasure?
It always has to have some romance but I like all different genre. I would say my favorite would be New Adult though.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
hmm it is split evenly between Kindle and I Books
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I always loved to write but I would say my family and friends both at home and on Wattpad are my motivation.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Just to escape into a world of your imagination.
