My daughter Stephanie painted a portrait of a Mermaid for her niece who is also named Mazzy. The painting and name inspired me to write the mermaid story. It has been something I have wanted to do for a long time and I am so excited to have finished the first short story for the series.

I just finished a self publishing class that showed me all the options for publishing and I wanted to give it a shot and see how it would work for my style of writing.

I find a lot of satisfaction in writing because I feel like I am accomplishing my goals each time I finish an article or write a story. I have many stories in the works so trying to find more time to write each day so I can finish them all!

I am just starting to publish so hoping I will have some one day. Fans are great at giving support and feedback especially for Writers starting out in the publishing world.

I have several books in the works but I want to focus on a few more of the Chronicles of Mazzy the Mermaid Princess and have them published.

I've been pretty lucky to have talented Artist in my family who want to do it for me. I describe what I am looking for as part of a scene I have written in the story and then it is digitally painted. I will be using some of my daughter's paintings in some new short story books I plan to write. There will be some children stories and young teen to adult age books. I'm really excited to complete some of my work and have it finally published.

My desk consist of a laptop and lots of paper with ideas strewn around. I'm usually neat until I start getting ideas and then its like all chaos erupts! I guess that is a good definition of creativity in my case.

When I was elementary school, mostly poetry.

I love the ease of being able to publish my own works. I took classes and learned how to convert my stories to different types of documents to use with different distributors but I found that Smashwords has a system that is absolutely amazing and easy to use. I loved working with their incredible website and company.
