Interview with Gabriel Klasing

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a small town in Michigan on ten acres of land. I helped every summer at my neighbors horse farm. I would have to say that this influenced my writing by providing me with a quite setting to read and wright.
When did you first start writing?
I first started writing when I was in second grade and won an award for the most creative writer. I have been writing ever since then.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I wanted to share my stories with the world. Mostly though I wanted to show my young daughters that you can do anything you put your mind to.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Being able to create a different world.
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans mean a lot to me. They keep me going.
What are you working on next?
Next I'm working on a second and third books for the series. After that I'm not one hundred percent sure.
Who are your favorite authors?
My favorite authors are: J.K. Rowling and Ann Rice.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I spend my time working full time as a civil engineer. Spending time with my family and my fur babies.
How do you approach cover design?
I like to create my own covers. I'm kind of do-it-yourself kind of person.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I usually read all my books on my phone through Kindle, however it is nice to pick up a hard copy of a book now and then.
