What are your five favorite books, and why?
Hmm! This is a tough one. I enjoy a lot of books. But I would say my my top 5 favorite books are:
1. Unbroken Curses 2. Becoming a vessel of honor in the master's service 3. Become a Better You: 7 Keys to Improving Your Life Every Day 4. Break Out!: 5 Keys to Go Beyond Your Barriers and Live an Extraordinary Life

and of course my Bible
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a small community by the name of Cold Spring. Growing up I saw the mediocrity of many of the youths, and adults, and was determine not to follow in their footsteps. From an early age I was determine that I was not going to live a mediocre life but was going to fulfil my dreams.

I love to see people excel and be the person they were created to be. Growing up I was also affected by the words of people around me and all these greatly impacted the person I am now. In my first book An Empowered Life, I encourage readers to be the person they were created to be and not to allow anything stop or hinder them. I help them to understand that God has a perfect plan for their lives and their trials are God's way of shaping and reshaping us so that we can fulfil our purpose and grow
When did you first start writing?
Even though it have been one of dreams from I was very young, I would say I started writing when I was around 18 years old. Nothing much happened to those stories, but it helped to understand what works for me and what doesn't. I discovered that Fiction books are not my thing. I like to write books that will empower individuals to be better than who they are now. Books that will help them to deal with the life they are living now. That is my passion and you could say I discovered that through trial and errors.
What's the story behind your latest book?
When I started writing the different messages for An Empowered Life, I did not write them to put them in a book. You could say An Empowered Life came about 'accidentally'. How most of the messages came about was that each morning I would write encouraging messages and sent them as text messages to my friends.

One morning I was watching a morning program on TV and they were interviewing a lady that wrote a devotional book. That was when the idea came to me 'you have a lot of messages written down in a book (I would record the messages in a note book so as to preserve them), why not put them in a book?' and that's how An Empowered Life came about

More importantly, each one of the messages dealt with something I was facing at the time, people looking down on me, low self-esteem, hurtful insults, promises of God not fulfil as yet, trials and obstacles I faced and so forth. In a sense the book was written for me, to help me to deal with the different things I was experiencing at the time, to empower me to live an empowered life. Whenever I am facing something, maybe someone said something hurtful, what I would do is to start writing. By writing I found the answer to how I can deal with the situation and also to encourage me.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Becoming an indie author for me was the best way to get my work out there. Going the traditional route was not working out well for me and also self-publishing allows me to do what I please and when I please.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords provides a medium where i can showcase my work to millions of people around the world. I can play around with prices, keywords and so forth. Not to mention it is free and i can distribute my books to other online sites like Barnes & Noble.
Publishing my book on Smashwords is quick and easy. I wish I had discovered it benefits long time ago
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Been able to write a book that will impact the lives of people
What are you working on next?
Well currently I am working on few other books but I will not say much about them only that they will be much better than my first book An Empowered Life.
Who are your favorite authors?
I got to say Joyce Meyer, Tony Evans, TD Jakes, John Chisham, James Patterson and maybe a very few others
What would you like readers to take away from your books?
I would like readers to know that their lives mean something, they have a purpose and that they are powerful. God created each one of us for a very special purpose and we should not allow anyone to stop or hinder us.

Not only that, but each one of us has gifts and talents that other people are depending on. You should make up in your mind not to leave this earth without first making meaningful contributions to the lives of others
What is your current short term and long term goals?
Hmm! Well in terms of short term goals, I would love to write atleast 2-3 books each year, do interviews on different talk shows. I also want to sell a lot of copies of my book.

For my long term goals I would love to be an international motivational speaker, evangelist and international best selling book author and counselor.
I would also love to share the stage with great speakers like TD Jakes, Joel Osteen and Joyce Meyer and few other speakers
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Each day is another day closer to seeing my dreams becoming a reality. Each day is an opportunity to be better than the day before and to fulfil my purpose. Those are what motivates me to get up each morning.
