Interview with Georgi Zhekov

When did you first start writing?
When I was 18 years old and in love with one of the most incredible women ever :)
What's the story behind your latest book?
My latest book which will be published in the beginning of October goes thru all my experience over the last 8 years which includes how to cleans our bodies so we can heal ourselves, how to keep our bodies clean using different kinds of diets, including veganism and raw food and at the end how to keep ourselves in great mental and conscious state as we are all a unique system combining spirit, mind and physical body.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
The idea itself came out of the fact that I am currently living in a country out of the so called eastern block. It is kind of tough to go thru the whole process of publishing your own book if you are not currently residing in the US or in a similar better developed country in such sphere. The good thing is that when you have a unique knowledge worth spreading around the world, here the opportunity comes :)
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
I am still in the beginning of my author's journey thru the world so the time will show :)
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Sharing all my knowledge and experience with others and providing value to the world.
What do your fans mean to you?
What are you working on next?
I am currently working on my third book which will be something really exclusive. I will share all that happened before the accident that led me to the place where we all meet after we leave our physical bodies.
Who are your favorite authors?
Eckhart Tolle, Deepak Chopra, Richard Bach, Osho, Buddha, Roger Zelazny, Mikhail Bulgakov and so many more...
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The idea that I can provide even more value to the world.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I go mountaineering, rock climbing, bicycling, running, hiking, swimming and of course spending time meditating and enjoying the present moment of now.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I use my intuition or they simply come to me one way or another.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes. I was between 12 and 14 years old when I tried to write my first science fiction short story. My notebook should be still somewhere back home :)
What is your writing process?
Pure inspiration and the question " How may I provide more value to all the people around the world?"
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Not really :) They were so many...
How do you approach cover design?
I simply go with the flow of energy that I feel when concentrating my intention into the book. Then it all suddenly happens. Different options start to show up and usually the first or the second one perfectly fit.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
"The power of now" by Eckhart Tolle, mostly because it raised my consciousness enough to boost the process of cleaning the path to my own self.

"Power, Freedom, and Grace: Living from the Source of Lasting Happiness" by Deepak Chopra, as it helped me find most of the mental images and words to describe my transformational process and awakening.

"The alchemist" by Paulo Coelho. It gave me a certain clue that the happiness is inside us.

"Jonathan Livingston Seagull" by Richard Bach, as it was maybe one of the first books that reminded me of my true nature.

"The Chronicles of Amber" by Roger Zelazny and all the fantasy and science fiction books I have red, mostly because it helped me go to all the above mentioned process, while not having any other info.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Blogging on the first place, using social networks and meeting fans in person.
Describe your desk
Very, very ordered :) My laptop, a cup of tea next to it, a small wooden elephant, book notes, a pen, few of my favorite books and my kindle. It changes though :)
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in my home town called Sliven, in a very friendly environment, constantly playing and interacting with other kids. Doing a lot of forbidden things also, as escaping out of the kindergarten, jumping over the fence :)
Write gives you the ultimate satisfaction?
Experiencing the feeling of oneness with the world itself and all the people around me. Feeling the ultimate love and careness and in the mean time realizing how different we are on this level of existence and how much more we can give as value to each other.
What do you read for pleasure?
Self developing blogs and books. I have created my own mastermind group of people that boost my inspiration and productivity every day.
