Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Atlanta, Ft Lauderdale, Miami, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. It has given me a wider perspective due to the different cultures and communities that I have been part of over the years.
When did you first start writing?
1995 Book and Screenplay adaptation that I am still working on today.
What's the story behind your latest book?
It is my personal journey as well as many others. Many in the book are either in treatment, disabled or deceased from their Fume Event injuries. It was written with the goal of public awareness in order to achieve political and legislative change on this very important issue.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
This has given me immediate access to my initial audience before seeking mainstream future publishing contracts.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
It has been a great tool and offers the best formatting. You can use the saved files for many other outlets.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
It would be bringing awareness to hidden or unknown issues to readers. Yet, on this specific project it would be the goal of political and legislative change would give me a great deal of joy.
What do your fans mean to you?
They mean everything. We will not be able to accomplish this goal of political and legislative change without them.
What are you working on next?
The long delayed 1995 book and screenplay adaptation called, Flight Times "Prepare for Departure"
This is a chronological history of aviation with the story of several friends that spans over a 32 year period of time.
Who are your favorite authors?
Armistead Maupin

His style is as closest to my own and I have met him over the years at Book Fairs and speaking engagements. He is so amazing and is my hero. If I become even one fourth as talented as he is then I will feel very accomplished.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The fact that I know that today may be the day that we accomplish our goal to create the change needed for this important issue.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
International Travel and freelance work as a Travel Writer.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Lulu

Yes It is called Flight Times "Prepared for Departure."
What is your writing process?
I just write what I have lived and know about. This way it always comes from a place of honesty and integrity.

This book created my desire to become a writer. The characters in his fictional book were very similar to my real life events.
When I read his books it is like reading a story about my friends. Therefore, I decided that I would do just that.
How do you approach cover design?
I try to imagine a photo that conveys the message visually of the book.
