Interview with Bree Pierce

Published 2015-04-03.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
When you write your own story, you create a world that you want to, whatever it may be, and for a short time the author can live in that little world while writing it. You, as a reader, can live in that little world too while reading the book. The idea that you can create your own world is fun and exciting!
What do your fans mean to you?
Lots! Authors would go nowhere without having fans and readers!!
What are you working on next?
Right now I am working on a sequel to Balloons in the Yard, but I will be finished with that pretty soon so this question is definitely subject to change.
Who are your favorite authors?
Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Shakespeare, Erica Stevens, H.L. Burke. There really are like a ton of them, but these are just a few of that bunch.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Busy with my kids, husband, and dog! I don't think there's ever a dull moment! I also like to get out and take the occasional photo and I love to cook!
What is your writing process?
I'm not sure that I really have one. I get an idea for something, I let it boil in my mind for a little bit, and then sit down to write. I just start writing and see where the story takes me.
What do you read for pleasure?
Mostly paranormal and fantasy. I have gotten into zombies too though. So a little bit of horror mixed in with it.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Kindle Fire
