I dream up a story. then I write an outline. I make notes about characters and places on index cards (I'm old school). Finally, I write the story.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I think the first story I ever read was about goblins and a princess. I was probably in second or third grade. It took me to another world and made me realize that reading is a magical experience.
How do you approach cover design?
I hired a professional graphic designer (www.caligraphics.net).

I have always enjoyed writing, since childhood.

The story behind my latest book is that a 20 year-old adopted girl decides to get a DNA test to see if she can find any biological relatives. The results of her DNA test reveal that she isn't human. She comes to the attention of a secret government agency because they discover that she's a alien-hybrid. She soon realizes that she has paranormal powers (including the ability to time-travel. This begins her time-travel and space-travel adventure. I hope you read and enjoy it!

Smash words has enabled me to immediately share my novel with the public.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I can challenge myself intellectually and creatively.
What do your fans mean to you?
Without my fans I have no one to write for. I am deeply grateful to them for taking the time to read my books.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
I know I wrote stories when I was a child, but I don't remember them.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
My favorite book as a child was Mary Poppins ( I read all of them) because she took me to a magical place. I loved all of Jane Austen's books because she let me live in her world which was a lovely escape. I loved reading George Eliot's Daniel Deronda because she chose such a brave and unusual topic. Brian Weiss' book Many Lives, Many Masters was a game changer for me because he introduced spiritual concepts in terms of medicine and science as opposed to religion. I have read the The Dream of the Red Chamber a few times. It's amazing to me because it's the oldest known novel.
