Interview with Parson Brown III

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
It seems like I grew up in a library. Spending most of my time in grade school, junior high and high school libraries, I would pick a book at random from the shelves, and it practically jumped into my hand. As what you might call a "book worm", my kindergarten teacher asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said a philosopher, and she said, "but there are no jobs for philosophers". I wondered what good was a PhD then. My second choice was a world class novelist, and I read that they needed at least forty years of real world experience to write about, before they can begin along those lines.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Writing allows the author to convey soul life experiences to present and future generations.
What do you read for pleasure?
I read science fiction and fantasy novels and short stories for pleasure.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I prefer sitting down to a desktop over a smart phone or laptop or tablet
