Interview with Lexie Grey

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a big city in Pennsylvania, USA. I enjoy it here, and I used to write about the weather here. Usually, I would sit outside on my front porch with paper and pen, writing poems. Normally, kids would be inside playing video games or watching TV. But I would prefer to be writing stories, or drawing pictures.
When did you first start writing?
A long, long time ago. When I was about four, I wrote a story about a lonely old house that nobody wanted to live in.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I love to write, because it paints pictures into my mind. I'm not very good at art, so the pencil or keyboard is my paintbrush.
What are you working on next?
I work mostly on fanfiction, but I'm working on a seven booked series, called Element Queens.
Who are your favorite authors?
T.A Barron, William Shakespeare and C.S Lewis. I love fantasy and fairy tales!
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I like to read. I'll read anything you give me - Cereal box, newspaper, etc.
