My desks, I have more than one are always full of papers and notes
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was grew up on a farm in Michigan, I was raised in and around Detroit. My goal of trying to understand the human psyche and the understanding of one's emotions. thoughts and feelings started me on lifelong journey to find some answers.
When did you first start writing?
I began at about 16 years old, writing some songs and poetry.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I have written 3 books, whose titles are, " The art of power and control" , "Staying Fit After 60" my latest is "Reflections of Life. The story behind the book is to understand how one's emotions, thoughts and feelings affects all of our decisions we make in our lives and how we may exert a measure of control.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I self publish my books because I then have complete control.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
I am just beginning with Smashwords.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Writing allows you to get in touch with yourself and spread ideas which you think will help others.
What do your fans mean to you?
It means someone is giving your thoughts and ideas consideration and many times validation. If my fans can get one or two things in my writing which can help them and make their lives better. It makes me feel it's all worth it.
What are you working on next?
I just finished my last book, I have recently made a DVD of my book "Staying fit after 60" I have just completed Apps for Apple and Android, regarding "Reflections pf Life" My next job is market my books and other endeavors.
Who are your favorite authors?
John Grisham, Steven King and Napoleon Hill.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
It is the exercise I talk about in my book "staying Fit After 60" called "The Exercise For Life program" which I do every single day. I am within 2 months of my 80th birthday, this is my 20th year of doing this program.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I go into my office every day I own some rental properties which I manage. I read a lot and keep up with all of the modern technology and social media which is moving a warp speed.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I am a member of Digital Book World, It keeps me up to date.
