What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
To face another exciting day. I rarely have trouble getting out of bed and always look forward to what the day will bring
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Gardening; walking; scrapbooking; cooking; leading a women's Bible Study group; spending time with my husband, family and friends; travelling, our next holiday is a coach/cruise tour of New Zealand
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Lassie comes home; it touched my imagination, stirred my emotions, warmed my heart with her faithfulness towards her master and caused me to explore more heartwarming stories.
What do you read for pleasure?
Mostly autobiographies but I love Francine River's books because she bases her stories on bible history and peoples lives. They are exciting, adventurous, believable and faith building
What are your five favorite books, and why?
The Bible The worlds best seller - Because it is the answer to life. It brings hope, purpose and comfort in times of trouble. It is filled with history and introduces the reader to the Creator and Saviour of the world.

The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom - despite the cruelty of being in the German prison camps of 2nd world war, Corrie's story is inspirational and displays constant faith, grace and forgiveness to her persecutors and courage to face the odds in the hardest of times.

The Heavenly Man by Brother Yun - a Christian leader in China was incarcerated because of his Christian faith and despite his terrible conditions in prison, his faith never wavered. He experienced many wonderful miracles and he was instrumental in giving hope and bringing change to the lives of many of his inmates as they believed and received Jesus Christ as their Saviour. I love reading of peoples personal victories in the hardest of circumstances

Amazing Grace by Metaxas - The story of a man who fought for freedom of african slaves in America. He saw the injustice and fought for the cause, and against all odds won his case against the law of the land at that time
