When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Being a Full-Time RVer, I spend several months a year travelling the United States. When I'm not writing, I enjoy photography, bird-watching, day hiking, treasure hunting and visiting historic sites.
What do you read for pleasure?
I love to read - period! Yet cozy mysteries will always remain my favorite reads.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
My greatest joy in writing is actually just being able to share a part of "my world" with others. Potential fame and fortune are optional.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Actually, I do remember the first story I ever wrote. I think I was in 5th or 6th grade at the time. The story was about two children who refused to eat their meatloaf. Their mother sent them to their rooms and put the leftover meatloaf in the refrigerator. Later that night, the meatloaf came to life and attacked the mother. Fortunately, the hungry children woke up in time to save their ketchup-drenched mother. Coincidentally, a similar thing happened to me in my childhood!
What's the story behind your latest book?
I am currently working on the fourth book in my Campground Mystery series. This series features Molly Miller, the sole winner of a $500 million lottery jackpot. Despite being a multimillionaire, she just wants to take care of her family and friends and pursue her own goals. She purchases a new pickup truck and fifth-wheel RV so she can roam the United States and follow her dreams of being a writer. Of course, Molly finds that the campgrounds can be very dangerous places!
Describe your desk
Since I live year-round in a recreational vehicle (RV), my desk ranges from my lap to a picnic table at times!
