I enjoy writing because it gives me an open canvas to express myself. It doesn't matter if I'm writing fiction or non fiction, I control the creativity portion.
What's the story behind your latest book?
My latest book is an autobiography. Storm Watch is very dear to me. I was blinded to the fact that I could have a personal relationship with my Savior Jesus Christ, so much that I put my faith on the back burner. One day God sent a great personal trial my way. I was involved in a farming accident that should have taken my life. My Lord had other plans and put me on the road to salvation. I now thank God everyday for the storm He sent my way. If God hadn't "awakened" me, I might have never had that personal walk with Him. He has blessed me and taught me so much, and I wanted to share what I've learned with the world.
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans mean a lot to me. I love to hear from my fans on what they think of my books. I encourage everyone that reads my book to write an open and honest review. I read every review. Each review I read influences what I am currently writing.
What are you working on next?
I am currently working on an adventure story that has to do with a doomsday scenario. I am really excited about where this book is headed. Stay tuned.....
Who are your favorite authors?
I'll be honest with you, I enjoy reading the Bible. That is my favorite book to read. The authors that penned the Bible of course would be my favorite.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Like most my time is very limited. I work twelve hour days most days. I also have over an hour commute to and from work each day. When I do have free time, I enjoy playing music. I play bass guitar in an 80s and 90s rock band.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
It's usually the topic. I enjoy reading informational books that I can learn from. That usually consists of books that have real people that overcame a great travesty. It's something that I can relate to.
What is your writing process?
I usually lay out the book by chapters first. When I write a book, I have the story already finished in my head before it ever hits a pen. That's just how it is.
How do you approach cover design?
I'm pretty creative. I usually envision a design and then go from there. I have all the software and tools to tweak it from there.
