What is your e-reading device of choice?
I prefer the Kindle, I am most familiar with it. Have not had a lot of experience with the others.
What do you read for pleasure?
Fantasy, Science Fiction, Young Adult. Pretty much anything with words on it. I am the one that drives everyone in the car crazy by reading street signs.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Bargain Book Bubs has given me the best results.
Describe your desk
It's my laptop, I carry it from room to room. I don't really use my desk.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Northern Illinois. I use its landmarks in the books because I am familiar with them. I don't really feel the State influences my writing it just gives me visuals to build off of.
When did you first start writing?
As a teenager, I started writing Poetry. I stuck with Poetry until about two years ago I started writing Saving Earth. I enjoy writing the books and I have recently started writing short stories. I find them quite challenging.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I love our planet and I like the idea of bringing the Earth into a human form. Struggling with pollutions and all that humans do to the Earth. I wanted to make it personal and hope people would relate to it more if they looked at the Earth as a life form. I also used this book to introduce the different realms I am going to write about and how the Earth is a gate way to enter them.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I enjoy reading and I like to write. I have a big imagination and wanted to share it with people.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I do run a lot of free promotions, I enjoy the idea that people are reading what I have imagined. Writing lets me leave the real world and be on incredible journeys. I write for the same reasons as why I read.
What do your fans mean to you?
Fans mean everything. They are a reason I publish what I write. I hope that they enjoy reading my books and get lost in the worlds. I hope my worlds connect with my fans, and they are places they would want to journey through. I hope they relate to the characters and go through the journey with the characters.
What are you working on next?
I am currently working on a Traveler book, the young girl is learning her gift. She travels through the different realms and dimensions with thought. She will have to save a Vampire election and travel to dark realms and meet some characters we already know.
Who are your favorite authors?
Madeline L'Engle, Charlaine Harris, Terry Brooks, April White, J.R. Tolkien, VC Andrews, JK Rowling, Dean Koontz and Anne Rice.
