Interview with Jeff Folschinsky

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Texas and I think this influenced my writing a lot. My grandfather was a farmer and cattle rancher and I would often stay with him. He and his friends had a way of just saying whatever was on their mind, with no care for the consequences. No one seemed to mind either, because they were doing the same thing and laughing up a storm as they were being insulted and made fun of. It was a very refreshingly open way to live ones life. Something you don't really see in this ultra-sensative politically correct society that we find ourselves in now and days.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing in high school. To make each other laugh My friends and I use to write fictional stories about each other. I found that I really liked expressing myself in this manner.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Writing mostly humorous stories, I would have to say what gives me the greatest joy, is when someone tells me how much they laughed when they read something I wrote. When someones says they laughed out loud, then I'm in seventh heaven.
What are you working on next?
I am right now working on getting the next 'Tales From Little Lump' story out.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The sun.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Recommendations from friends. Read some interesting books that way.
What do you read for pleasure?
Graphic novels.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Ipad mini with the kindle software.
