Interview with John Lane, Sr

Published 2014-03-29.
What is your writing process?
I start with a subject I am familiar with and know something about. I attempt to develope a simple idea about a subject that I feel may be interesting to others. My hope is to keep the subject and flow simple and easy to understand. In my writing as in every day life I do my best to adhere to, KISS.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I really don't remember the first story I read that really held my interest. It was probably a comic book. Reading comic books was a wonderful and exciting tool in helping me to develope my reading skills. There were so many places to go, so many adventures to experience and enjoy and so much to learn. Reading comic books was one of my favorite pastimes in those early years.
How do you approach cover design?
As with all of my art work, I rely on compositions that I like. I also rely on the opinions of family members.
