Interview with John Sigmon

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I enjoy sharing with others and I find writing in this day and age to be a great way to scale communication and share ideas.
What are you working on next?
I am working on a few projects including a chapter in a upcoming book with some fellow HR thought leaders; it is still a "work in progress", but I intend for it to be thought provoking.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I have a great life...I love my wife and and our great life together and I love my work.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
These days I am mostly working, but I enjoy reading, walks/hikes, spending time with my wife and our three dogs and cat!
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Great question. I have a lot of followers on LinkedIn and many of them are great thought leaders. I find a lot of insight and ebooks through them.
What is your writing process?
I write about the things I believe need to change or issues I feel strongly about. Many times it simply begins as an annoyance, or something that bothers me. Then as I contemplate further thoughts and potential courses of action begin to formulate. Then things simply flow.
What do you read for pleasure?
Right now, I am reading Elon Musk, by Ashlee Vance. I am on a non-fiction trend at the moment, but I will move to some fiction reading soon.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Typically my iPhone or iPad.
Describe your desk
Monday-Thursday it is often a disaster to anyone who sees it. I know where everything is! I spend Friday evening cleaning it off so I can start the week fresh.
