Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was an Army brat. I lived in Germany for tree years and Korea for a year. I have been in several paranormal groups over the last eight years and started a group of my own. I have gotten some pretty strange stuff, like EVP's and weird photos.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing poetry in 1989 for high school and haven't stopped yet. I have also written some songs.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I wanted to try something different and mix horror with mystery. I figured that my background as a paranormal investigator would come in handy one of these days. Why not use my experience in a novel?
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I've always want to get published but was always too busy with work. Now that I'm older and have more time, I feel now is the time to write. I have a very close friend that I've know since high school that is also a writer and encouraged me to finally get published.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The art of telling the story. I've always love entertaining people in either dramatic plays or verbal story telling.
What are you working on next?
I'll will be working on a first in a series of novels.
Who are your favorite authors?
Lawrence Block, Clive Barker and a few more
What is your writing process?
Well my first story writing process was nonstop. I sat down and kept going. I couldn't stop. Due to the back pain I suffered that night, I think I will be putting a limit on how much I write in one sitting for now on.
What do you read for pleasure?
I like a good horror or mystery, the kind you can't put down.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I'm not very familiar with eBooks yet. I'm a bit old school and like an old fashion paperback. With the convenience of technology, I'm beginning to sway to eBooks.
What do your fans mean to you?
This is my first publication so I really don't have fans of yet. I think the fans though will keep me motivated to create more stories and entertain the masses.
